“If you stare into the abyss for a long time, then the abyss begins to peer into you” - under this slogan, I am finally ready to present the results of my peering into the faces of the people around me.
There are many roads to personal style, and each of us decides for himself - from which side to approach. For one, relevance and prestige are important, for another - simplicity and practicality. Someone needs help in achieving the goal, while someone strives for an "improved version of themselves." A simple scheme or a competent view from the outside, clear recommendations or a style vector - now there is an answer to every request.
My own ode sounds to the Impressionists. Those who find it easier to rely on a mental image, rather than technical parameters. Those who approach their appearance creatively and strive for a "personality" of appearance, for telling their own story.
I called my system "Image Types" - 10 female and 10 male:
Image type (IT) - is the type of your attractiveness, your sex appeal, your role, a bright readable image in which your appearance is revealed as harmoniously as possible. In a sense, Image types can be compared with archetypes, but if archetypes are more dictated by the internal content, then ITs are created by the external.
As mentioned above, the impression of a person is of decisive importance in determining the type, but technical parameters also exist and will be covered in separate articles for each type, along with recommendations.
It is also worth clarifying a few points:
• The boundaries of the types are quite diffuse, which means that, depending on the plasticity of the appearance, it can “sound” in the aesthetics of several collages. And sound different. The beauty is that you can trace what traits of your personality are revealed in a particular image and exploit this knowledge for various purposes. You can deduce a common denominator, add the missing “zest” from another type, cut off the options that you are not painted, and in general, probe the boundaries of the possibilities of your appearance in order to continue to create “yourself” without exhausting doubts.
• Image types are determined by the face and can be combined with any (or almost any, but more on that later) linearity and types of figures.
• This system does not have a direct correlation with other style systems (excluding the theory of style types by L. Popova, on whose inspiration it is developed).
